 I love the little child's wool coat i found in a antique shop this past summer . I have displayed it on my old quilt rack with one of my handmade hearts. ox

Handmade Smalls

I have been doing a lot of hand sewing this winter it is one of those comforting things to do inside on these cold winter days. Makes me feel like a little girl again !

Little Collections of Love

 I love little collections of things .

 Little groups of color just make me happy.

 A group of old enamel jugs so simple but so nice.

 Colored glass is so pretty grouped with old bottles.

Spider and the Fly

 I have been working on getting the parlor just the way i want it for a while now ...and i think it is finally there

 Our house is a very old farmhouse style built around 1860 or so and i wanted the room to take a the feel of days gone by.

 I love hunting for all those special little things to fit in here and there to give it special touches.

 It is so cozy to go and and sit with a cup of tea and read a book or just look at all the items that i consider eye candy now but at one time had a real purpose in someones daily life  . The spinning wheel that spun wool the crocks that held food and drink the baskets that carried just about everything and anything .The lanterns for light and on and on .

 I am sure i will have many a days enjoying this room and thinking about times gone by .
" Come to my parlor said the spider to the fly "

Buttons and Lace
